Wilmslow, located on the edge of the hilly town of Stockport, enjoys access to a range of leisure activities, days out, parks and museums in the local area. The town has a community centre at Honford Hall, a hub for meet-and-greets, events and sports, while Wilmslow has two sports clubs (the Wilmslow Phoenixes and the Wilmslow Sports & Social Club) and a Conservative Club for residents.
The closest scout hall for the kids is the 1st Handforth Scouts, a 14-minute walk away from home, while adults can enjoy golfing at the Styal Golf Club or fishing at Styal Moss Pool. You can also find your local gym at the Wilmslow Leisure Centre, an 8-minute drive away.

From our new homes in Wilmslow, you’ll have access to Manchester’s Bee Network, a linked service of trams and buses streamlining transport across Greater Manchester. Your closest train station is Handforth, an 11-minute walk away from home, where you can catch regular services into Manchester Piccadilly and out to Crewe. Trains arrive at the station several times an hour during off-peak and peak times alike, making it an excellent stop for both city commutes and weekend trips.
By car, you can access the M56 with a quick drive down the Wilmslow-Handforth bypass, and Manchester’s circular M60 with an 11-minute drive down the A34. The M60 will take you to surrounding towns such as Stockport, Sale, Eccles and Ashton, while connecting to roads leading into central Manchester.
A thriving town, Wilmslow has an active bus network connected to the Bee Network, with several stops located close to our new homes. Handforth’s main hub for buses is Wilmslow Road, a 7-minute walk away from home, where you can catch the 130 into Macclesfield and the 312 towards Manchester Airport.
Manchester Airport is very close to the development, only a 7-minute drive away from home. The airport has three terminals and sees over 200 flights leave each day, making it the perfect link to destinations across the world.

There are four local nurseries around the development, all well-rated and conveniently located within walking distance. Busy parents can find the closest available childcare at Rainbow Preschool Nursery, a 13-minute walk away from home, while Fun Frogs Day Nursery is a 16-minute walk away. The school is located a quick 3-minute drive away or 17 minutes on foot, a similar distance to its competitor, St Benedict’s Catholic Primary. At St Benedicts, children can participate in drama, karate, dodgeball and choir after school clubs. You can also find Wilmslow Academy a 29-minute walk away, and Lacey Green Primary Academy just south of Handforth, a 6-minute drive away.
Older children can attend the Wilmslow High School an 8-minute drive away, where students can access a Reading School program to encourage library usage and independent learning. St James’ Catholic High is also located within an 8-minute drive of home, offering KS4 options such as Social Care, Art and Food Prep.
Your third option for teenagers is Cheadle Hulme School, a very well regarded secondary with a sixth form attached.
Wilmslow’s direct links to Manchester open prospective students up to the University of Manchester, a Russel group university where pupils can study a range of topics from astrophysics to Earth and planetary sciences.

At the Fairways, you’re a 25-minute drive away from Manchester’s Trafford Centre, the third largest shopping centre in the UK. The Trafford Centre also offers free parking for visitors bringing the car.
Closer to home, you’ll find your local retail park at Handforth Dean, a 20-minute walk away from the development.
